Have you been watching Secrets of a Stylist on HGTV? I’m kind of hooked on the show! I usually love myself a good design and makeover story so this is right up my alley. Stylist Emily Henderson has an awesome portfolio of work and masterminds some fabulous room transformations on the show. It makes me wish that I had a house, and a corresponding budget with which, to decorate. Emily assesses each person’s individual design style and then creates a room tailored just for them. Some of my favorite rooms so far have been 70’s Funky Elegance, Graphic Antique, and Retro Polynesian Kitsch. I’m thinking my room might be Vintage Mid-Century Boho-Chic or, you know, something like that. I love the way that Emily combines very different design styles into one cohesive and beautiful room. These are some of my favorites from her portfolio (I’m in love with this aqua tufted couch!):
It seems that at home bar carts are so very in right now. What do you think? I don’t know that I have a need for one, but I sure do like the way they look! And that gold floral wallpaper is surprisingly chic – I really like the pattern!
